Mr Patel was nothing but the consummate professional at all times. He explained everything connected to my planned procedure in a clear and concise manner and with honesty. As a patient I felt I was being treated as an individual, a person and not just a number which is of the utmost importance.

I had been suffering from reoccurring diverticular flare ups for many years and from this I generally felt very unwell all the time. Due to my apprehension it took some years to get the surgery I needed and eventually Mr Omar Faiz, his team and I agreed that this would improve my quality of life surgery was booked for November 2017. Mr Vanash Patel explained everything that I needed to know including worse case scenarios and the possibility of a stoma. The surgery was long and not quite key hole as I have an 80mm incision just below my belt line however worse case stoma did not happen. The surgery has been a complete success and recovery short, I was walking 5 miles a day within a month and back to the gym lifting weights at the beginning of January. I don’t think that anyone can prepare you for the post op pain and mental darkness that follows as the drugs subside or the pain as your colon begins to work again. I am over the moon with the result. Life changing.
